Tristram Precinct
This prominent site, formally known as the Hamilton Central Shopping Centre, was purchased in 2016. The site now boasts a brand new 5,500 sqm Kmart store and three level commercial building with 14,000 sqm of lettable area, incorporating A-Grade office accommodation and over 400 car parks.
With unobstructed views across the Western Town belt, Tristram Precinct comprises an architecturally designed redevelopment which utilised the existing podium structure together with the construction of a high-quality commercial office building along the Tristram Street elevation. On the doorstep of the central city and directly across from the transport centre, this high-profile site has strong connections with its surroundings and visibility from vehicular traffic.
On completion in 2022, the property was fully leased, with Waikato Regional Council having relocated from Hamilton East, bringing 500+ workers into the central city. The WSP office covers 2,400 sqm and Spark New Zealand sits across the remaining 2,500 sqm.
The property was sold to Mackersy Property on completion for $110M, making it one of Hamilton’s largest property transactions at the time.
